Somatic Coaching & Breathwork at Living Free

What is Somatic Coaching & Breathwork?

Somatic coaching and breathwork focus on healing through the body. Trauma isn’t just a memory stored in the mind — it’s something the body remembers. That’s why you might feel on edge, tense, or shut down long after the traumatic event has passed.

Somatic work teaches you to listen to your body, notice where stress is held, and gently release it. Breathwork uses guided breathing patterns to activate the calming part of the nervous system, helping you feel grounded and safe in the present.

At Living Free, somatic coaching is always supportive and paced. We don’t push you into overwhelming sensations. Instead, we guide you in small steps: noticing a tight chest, slowing your breath, grounding your feet, or using movement to discharge stress. Over time, this helps you build the capacity to stay calm during triggers and to reconnect with your body as a resource for healing.

For many clients, somatic coaching and breathwork are a missing piece of recovery — especially if traditional talk therapy alone hasn’t fully helped.
