What is Exercise Psychoeducation & Coaching?
Exercise is a powerful tool for trauma recovery, but for many people, it is either overlooked or misunderstood. Trauma often leaves the body in a constant state of hyperarousal or exhaustion, making exercise either difficult or overwhelming.
At Living Free, exercise coaching is not about fitness goals or performance. It is about reconnecting with the body in safe and supportive ways. Through psychoeducation, clients learn how movement affects the nervous system, mood, and resilience. Coaching then provides guidance on integrating exercise into daily life as a supportive practice for healing.
The focus is on movement as medicine: rebuilding strength, reducing anxiety, and helping the body release stress.

How It Works
Assessing current activity levels and barriers to exercise.
Education on how exercise influences stress hormones, sleep, and brain chemistry.
Gentle introduction to safe forms of movement such as walking, yoga, or stretching.
